• ‘The players realised that it is not as easy as it looks on TV’
Dutch club Den Bosch have appointed former kickboxer René van Eck as their new coach to succeed Ruud Kaiser, who was sacked last week following a 5-0 home defeat.
Van Eck, whose last managerial role was at German side Alemannia Aachen in 2013 but spent four years at Den Bosch as a player, is known for his unorthodox approach to training having previously used kickboxing methods to prepare his teams.
