Barcelona’s Luis Suárez denies he bit Manchester City’s Martín Demichelis

Luis Suárez has dismissed suggestions that he tried to bite Manchester City’s Martín Demichelis during Barcelona’s win at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night and rounded on the English media for “making trouble”.

The Uruguayan scored twice to hand Barça a 2-1 victory in the first leg of their Champions League tie but was later accused of attempting to bite Demichelis after the Argentina defender extended his arm in the direction of Suárez. Television footage appeared to show the former Liverpool striker thursting his face towards him but no conclusive evidence of any biting.
